Interesting, Canada has the highest per capita readership. Guess we know a good thing.
Rod Salm
Death At You Door a webcomic about Death and Life and the room mates in between.
Sweet.
I was a little concerned that my Canadian readership had dropped off, since Alexa had reported the site being a leader in the Great White North. The “per capita” explanation, though, really makes sense.
I can shed some light on the Germany one. I visit daily sometimes multiple times a day, plus there’s a good chance that a good deal of the other visits are actually US army personal stationed in Germany, after all you guys are still occupying us.
I figured that was part of it. Also, when I went to Germany some time ago, plenty of the people I met had an excellent grasp of the English language. (Well, except the currywurst vendors. I had to do a weird little dance to try to explain my order over there.) So I’m guessing that the typical German reader doesn’t mind browsing the occasional English language site.
huh, only one reader from Finland? Thats probably me
Well, according to my stats there’s been 7,000+ page views from Finland, so I think you’re not the only one.
Ahoy from South Africa! I’ve been spreading your site around in our dusty arse end of the earth. Comics are getting bigger and bigger here, although most folks arent that interested in super hero fare so its still fairly underground.
I think that’s a good sign, though. Less interest in superheroes means a better variety in tastes.
True. The most commercially successful South African comic is about a team of superstar soccer players, so there you go.
Bitteschön! Depending on the region our “r” might be throatier than the English one, yet “German” is still spelled with only one “r” (but then again “British” was spelled “Brittish” in the Declaration of Independence).
Keep up the good reviews!
Thanks for the info. That’s what I get for relying on Google for my translation needs!
Hmm, you’ll have to do something about Svalbard. It’s quite a disappointment.
Just for curiosity’s sake, were there many views from Portugal?
Hmmmm… my stats show that there were 1,491 page views from Portugal over the past year. Not bad for a site that’s in English, I think. It’s about the 36th in viewership: less than Czech Republic and more than Thailand.
