Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween, y’all! This week has been spookily busy for me (long story short, two kids’ parties where I was a clown making balloon animals) so I couldn’t get to my last review before today. However, Chris Sims over at Comics Alliance is always vigilant, and he’s put together a nice list of five Free Halloween comics you can find online. These include:
- City of the Dead over at Mark Waid’s Thrillbent imprint
- Davind Malki! and KC Green’s Emmy and the Eggs
- Jake Bell and Joe Bowen’s Knock Knock
- A Dark Horse sample pack called Draw Your Own Nightmares
- And, finally, a fan comic of Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE, which is posted on the Comics Alliance site itself
Read those comics, if you dare!

You actually were able to get through that Balloon Animal video?
And I made a stop to get several bags of candy today cuz I’ve totally been putting it off, but not a single group of kids came to my door. Dying tradition….
Yeah, but I pretty much stuck to balloon dogs and balloon swords. Them’s what the kiddies wanted.
Making a balloon teddybear is pretty much master class, though.
We got two kids at our door, which was actually the first time any came in the last 11 years I’ve lived at this location! I think it was the festive scarecrow decor though. Sorta brought them in. I think I may have scared them a little with my El Santo mask, though. When I opened the door, they sorta just stared agog as I handed them candies … and balloon animals. Hey, gotta use mah skill somewhere.
