To clarify, Ursula's good at realistic depictions of humans... She's just falls down at rendering them in a cartoony format like this.

I'd also argue that Murai's story of the Black Mother may prove significant later... although current plot shenanigans would indicate that the comic's conclusion is in sight, so I could be wrong. I do personally enjoy the myth/backstory dumps, so eh, to each their own. :D

Overall, I have vastly enjoyed this comic.
I like the epic, as long as it is, and will be a bit sad when it is done.
Different tastes, but this is one of the best I have read.
I adjust to the art, if it is not too bad, and maybe even then.
The story is wonderful, fantastic, good.
I would say 5 out of 5, IMHO.
There are only a few this good.

Yay new review!

Yeah the human faces are one of Ms. Vernon's biggest flaws...I remember how much that bothered me when I read it the first time around. But her use of black and white makes up for it, I think.

Maybe I should pick this up again. I tried reading it but grew tired of it not long after she met the shadow creature. It really didn't seem that interesting. IF you're right that it picks up then I'll give it another shot I guess.
