You should know that, other than the premiere of the comic on ESPN Page 2, a lot of the readers (myself included) regularly bash it. Check the comments archives, my friend.

Jesus, that’s depressing. A major cable network with corporate funding thought that was the best way to spend money on cartooning talent?

It also sucks because in the early 20th Century, sports cartoons were drawn with style, humor and an excellent sense of character design and the human form. They weren’t always well written, but for the times, they were pretty good. Way better than this crap. Ugh.

True… but I have a feeling that the guys writing “Girls & Sports” and part of the high school nerdhood.

(Also, as I get older, I’m starting to feel more sympathy towards the jocks than the nerds. Go figure.)
