RE: Scott Pilgrim ~

You know, I've only read the first half of the first book. I've been meaning to finish it, but I donated it, along with strandard superhero stuff, to my nephew on his return trip to the Philippines (American comics are hard to come by over there). I'm going to have to make a trip back to the comic shop to pick up a new copy. From what I saw, it was fine, though I hadn't read enough to see if it was my cuppa tea or not.

It really was good to see that, instead of throwing away the old gag-a-day with some recurring characters comic format wasn't abandoned when he ended Bee Power--just shifted into a new, shining, perverted avatar. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Horribleville considerably--its just good that, well, like you said, Gunshow lacks the moroseness of its predecessor, which is definitely an improvement. Hopefully, it really is a sign that KC is feeling better about himself and his art nowadays. Great review as usual, El Santo!

By the way, what do you think personally of the Scott Pilgrim series? I enjoy it m'self (though that didn't keep me from laughing at the hilariously harsh joke KC made about it), but I just thought I'd ask.
