Fans of Better Days (reviewed here) may have been crushed to see that their favorite series about an incestuous furry who kills terrorists dead had wrapped up some time last month. Well, not to fear, Betterdayaholics! Jay Naylor has not abandoned you.
The adventures of Fisk continue in a flash-forward with Original Life, which introduces all new questions. Like, how are a cat and a mouse able to spawn three children? And, given the weirdery that went on between the sheets regarding the previous generation, will we see such shenanigans repeated with these adorable little angels?

First thoughts:
This guy is a Calvin & Hobbes fan. I’ve seen about a half-dozen references dropped so far. I’m cool with this.
On a quick re-read:
Funny and lighthearted. Let’s see if Naylor keeps it that way this time around. I understand that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I’m also, however, given to understand that life doesn’t have anthropomorphic cats in it.
It’s a real dick up the ass when people can’t see the inter workings of better days and how rich the story line was. Yes Fisk killed terrorists because he was following in his dads footsteps. And yes Fisk and Lucy had some incest in the 7 or 8 chapter but in the naylorcast he tells us that they shrugged it of because they were teens with high emotions and because Lucy was in so many shot relatonships.
I hate you and this thread, tylor.
