Heh, I discovered "Surfboards and Rayguns" the same way.

I think you miss the point of the premise: It's intended to be a genre mash, much like "Cowboys and Aliens" was. If it was just sci-fi + babes, it would hardly be bringing anything new to the table. IMO, the premise has a lot of potential.

Unfortunately, I agree that it wasn't implemented as well as it could be. The art was awesome, but I found the pacing slow, and didn't really feel compelled to care about any of the characters. I gave it a decent chance because I found the premise interesting, but stopped reading it after a while.

P.S. Surfers were (subjectively) appealing protagonists in "Point Break".

Thanks for checking out the review, BradleyO! I like to review comics that interest me immediately. Consequently, it's hard to not be interested in ads for comics that feature gals in space armor. It's one of the major tenets of marketing!

Hmmm!
I think what he's trying to say is that he loves Surfboards and RayGuns. LOL!!
Seriously though, Thank you for that completely unbiased review.
For someone who clearly hates surfing themes or surfer protagonists I commend you for even attempting to read me comic.
Then again, for those very same reasons, I'm not sure why you bothered at all.

BTW the comic started a year ago, Pages were back dated to 2007 for archive uploading issues. (Which are fine now.) Still a poor number of pages for the time I admit, but life's been busy.
Skullbie, Thanks for the support sister, but Plastic is the best looking webcomic around.
Thanks again for the awesome review.

Harsh rating, but you've got to give him credit for having one of the nicest drawn webcomics on the web. (i'm rooting for you brad! c: ) I'm pretty sure the story is meant to be fun eyecandy like danger girl even if it's somewhat corny, and good comparison to megasXLR i thought that too.
