I think the painting you're thinking of is "The Victory of Montcalms Troops at Carillon"

The painting used in the webcomic is indeed from the Revolutionary War

The painting -does- depict a Revolutionary War battle (Bunker Hill). It's captioned as the Battle of Breed's Hill. While I do question the use of "1832", Innes did use the correct painting. I'm sure as a Revolutionary War buff that she claims to be, she would ascertain that she does not use a painting from a different event to "drive the plot."

You forgot to mention how the driving force of the plot was that "image" of a dying Major-General Warren. Innes captioned the picture as dating from "1832" haha, no, and the painting depicts a French and Indian War event. I think she based her entire plot around a very fault image. What do they teach at Columbia? Not history, I guess.

Huh! I wonder how that happened. I'm usually pretty good at getting a character's name right. At least I was consistent.

Thanks for the heads up, strawberry! Errors corrected.
